The Williams Bulldogs's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 win over Northeast Guilford. That's another feather in the cap for Williams, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Williams was led to victory by Sam Rhodes and Brian Williams. Rhodes scored 11 points, while Williams scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Amarion Richmond, who scored eight points.
Despite the loss, Northeast Guilford still got an impressive performance from Levi Webb, who scored seven points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alijah White, who scored eight points along with three steals and three blocks.
Williams has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Northeast Guilford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams will challenge Southern Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Guilford, they will head out on the road to square off against Eastern Guilford at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Guilford is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
