The Salem Rocks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Milford 69-63. Salem has struggled against Milford recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Rocks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Peters, who scored 22 points along with five assists. Peters scored a full 34.9% of Salem's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Robillard, who scored 17 points.
Salem's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Milford, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Salem will head out on the road to face off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Milford will finish 2023 at home by hosting Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th.
