Zeeland East has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Wyoming Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Zeeland East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Zeeland East at home against the Red Hawks as the team secured a 56-26 win.
Zeeland East's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mirra Fenlon, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lizzie Risdon, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Wyoming's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to Muskegon.
Zeeland East's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Wyoming, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.
Zeeland East lost to the Wolves on the road by a decisive 48-30 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Zeeland East avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
