Firth had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Everything went their way against the American Falls Beavers as they made off with a 15-5 win. Considering the Cougars have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Tonk Perry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Perry was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Quinton Hall was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grant Vasquez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Firth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Firth's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for American Falls, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firth will host Wendell at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.67 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for American Falls, they will welcome Teton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
