The Troy Trojans won the last time they faced the Onaga Buffaloes, and things went their way on Monday too. Troy blew past Onaga 54-28. That looming 54-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Troy yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Troy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gannon Bowe, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Bowe continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Geiger, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Despite the loss, Onaga still got an impressive performance from Jackson Kolterman, who scored 12 points along with five steals. That was a full 42.9% of Onaga's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win makes it two in a row for Troy and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Onaga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Troy will head out on the road to square off against Axtell on Wednesday. Onaga's road trip will continue as they head out to face Washington County at 4:00 p.m. on January 18th.
