Whitwell can attribute much of their success to Callie Brock, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals, and Ella Grace Harvey, who posted 11 points along with eight boards and four steals. Harvey has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephanie Miller, who put up five points.
Whitwell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Dalton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 54-16 defeat at the hands of Gordon Lee.
Whitwell now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Dalton Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
