The Summit Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 52-27 walloping at the hands of The New Community School. Summit Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as The New Community School apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Asher Crowder, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals. Cole Miller was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and five blocks.
Summit Christian Academy's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-19. As for The New Community School, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10.
Summit Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-38 loss vs. Williamsburg Christian Academy on the 9th. The New Community School will be playing in front of their home fans against Grove Christian School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
