The Desert Vista Thunder are ranked highly in their home state, and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Bishop Montgomery Knights. Desert Vista came out on top against Bishop Montgomery by a score of 55-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Desert Vista.
Desert Vista got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Swindle out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Swindle's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Eanae Dagons, who scored 12 points.
Desert Vista is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Bishop Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Desert Vista will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Desert Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Bishop Montgomery will finish 2023 at home by hosting Orange Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th.
