The Classical Purples will be playing in front of their home fans against the Woonsocket Villa Novans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Classical has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,433 points over their last 19 contests.
Classical put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Monday. They breezed by North Kingstown at home to the tune of 96-58. Classical's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Woonsocket came into Thursday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 56-51 W over East Greenwich on Thursday. The victory was just what Woonsocket needed coming off of a 51-30 defeat in their prior matchup.
Aaron Kelly had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Hernandez, who scored 12 points.
Classical pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Woonsocket, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.
Classical took their win against the Villa Novans in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 75-54. Does Classical have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Villa Novans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
