Last Saturday, Thunder Ridge faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Thunder Ridge fell to Centennial 61-56.
Defeat or not, Thunder Ridge got some senior leadership from Mason Hackbarth who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and Hudson Harker who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. Harker scored a full 28.6% of Thunder Ridge's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Connor Davenport, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest blew past Bonneville, posting a 91-32 win at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hillcrest.
Thunder Ridge now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Hillcrest, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Thunder Ridge was dealt a bruising 74-40 defeat at the hands of Hillcrest when the teams last played back in January. Can Thunder Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
