Foran put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let Sacred Heart Academy on the board, marking the Lions' second-straight 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 11 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Abigail Corris made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Maddie Deldin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Maya Fallon-Silva was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Foran lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Foran pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Coming up, Foran will head out to take on East Haven at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they will welcome Hillhouse at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
