The Pepperell Dragons can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 67-55 victory over Coosa. The win was just what Pepperell needed coming off of a 97-30 loss in their prior match.
Pepperell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eliot Goggans out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Fife, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Pepperell's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14. As for Coosa, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-17.
Pepperell will take on the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Dade County is ranked 476th, while the Dragons are ranked 493rd). Coosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
