Baseball Recap: Glenwood Wins Going Away Against Macarthur

While Glenwood put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for MacArthur. The Titans put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Andrew Wahlbrink looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Andrew Schwartz was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Henry Rose, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Glenwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for MacArthur, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Glenwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Lanphier on the 23rd. As for MacArthur, they have also already played their next game, a 12-2 loss against Springfield Southeast on the 23rd.
