Sincere Columbus was his usual excellent self, rushing for 152 yards and four scores on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Moore, who rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Northside - Pinetown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 184 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Bear Grass Charter was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They blew past North Edgecombe 49-14. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bears had established a 28-point advantage.
Bear Grass Charter's win came from a few key players Northside - Pinetown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Vance Keel, who rushed for 97 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Coby Beck, who rushed for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Northside - Pinetown has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 338.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bear Grass Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 299.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
