The Milwaukee Juneau Pioneers entered their tilt with the Milwaukee School of Languages Hawks with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Milwaukee Juneau walked away with a 91-82 win over Milwaukee School of Languages on Saturday. Given Milwaukee Juneau's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Milwaukee School of Languages is ranked 247th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dooney Johnson was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 40 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raylen Jones, who scored 16 points.
Milwaukee Juneau's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.3 points per game. As for Milwaukee School of Languages, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milwaukee Juneau will take on Milwaukee Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milwaukee School of Languages, they will head out on the road to take on Milwaukee Reagan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
