It was a good run, but Elyria Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 67-19 loss at the hands of Little River. Elyria Christian has not had much luck with Little River recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Little River found their leader in underclassman Arika Feldman, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Feldman is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Eck, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Elyria Christian's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Little River, they pushed their record up to 16-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elyria Christian will square off against Berean Academy on Tuesday. Berean Academy's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Elyria Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Little River, they will head out on the road to challenge Spearville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Little River's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
