The East Tech Scarabs stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Lincoln West on the road to the tune of 77-42. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-19.
East Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Simon, who scored 17 points along with seven steals. Simon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was George Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
East Tech's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.4 points per game. As for Lincoln West, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Tech will take on John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John F. Kennedy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 397 points over their last six games. As for Lincoln West, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Campus International at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Campus International is ranked 836th, while Lincoln West is ranked 826th).
