Alleman has won six straight games at home, while Quincy has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Pioneers will welcome the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Alleman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Alleman was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverdale, taking the game 7-2.
CJ Carruthers and Kelly Honert dominated on the mound. Carruthers tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits, while Honert pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Honert has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nolan Buchen was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Bowers, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Quincy never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Camp Point Central as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Drake Gibson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Quincy's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 11-14 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Ritter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Quincy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.
Alleman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Quincy, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Alleman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Quincy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Alleman might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from Quincy in their previous meeting on Monday. Will the Pioneers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
