Softball Recap: Ragsdale Has No Trouble Against Grimsley

After only one run in their last game, Ragsdale made sure to put some runs up on the board against Grimsley on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Whirlies with a sharp 19-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Alexis Gray was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hattie Hitchcock, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.

Ragsdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Ragsdale's record is now 11-6. As for Grimsley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Ragsdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-0 defeat against Northwest Guilford on the 21st. Grimsley has also already played their next match (against Page), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
