Softball Recap: Lassen's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lassen and Anderson faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Tuesday. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Cubs. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

Kiki Cisneros tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Patty Carvalho, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Delilah Delgado was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Lassen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anderson only posted an OBP of .278.

The victory (which was Lassen's third in a row) raised their record to 18-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Lassen nor the Cubs have any future games scheduled.
