Byrd were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Bassett 41-14. That result is just more of the same for Byrd, who also won the last time these teams played.
The win bumped Byrd's record up to 3-0. Bassett are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Next week Byrd take on Martinsville at Martinsville High School at 7:00 PM. Byrd have bulldozed their previous 3 opponents, so Martinsville might have their hands full. Bassett will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Franklin County in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
