Even though the Lathrop Malemutes have not done well against the Colony Knights recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lathrop sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 victory over Colony. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lathrop to victory, but perhaps none more so than Atticus Foley, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Foley scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Devonte Hall, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Lathrop is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Colony, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Lathrop and Kodiak will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kodiak is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. Colony and Mountain City Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
