Voorhees moved up to 164 from 193 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mid-State 38 - Mountain. The Vikings were able to make the jump by beating Somerville 40-22.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood and North Plainfield played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Scotch Plains-Fanwood eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory.
Governor Livingston's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Highlanders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Patrick Mahoney has thrown for 51 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Michael Murphy has one catch for 26 yards. Ryan Jennings leads the league in rushing with 190 yards.
A big matchup in Mid-State 38 - Mountain this week will be when Warren Hills Regional takes on Rahway. The Blue Streaks are currently in fourth, while the Indians are in third.
