It was a good run, but the Braymer Bobcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Brunswick by a score of 63-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Braymer's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Haley, who scored 17 points along with five assists and four steals. Haley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Baker, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Braymer's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Brunswick, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Braymer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-57 win vs. Hale/Bosworth on the 10th. Brunswick has also already played their next contest, a 58-57 defeat against Higbee on the 10th.
