The Deer Valley Skyhawks are taking a road trip to take on the Peoria Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Deer Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Flagstaff on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4. The Skyhawks haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Adyson Ordway spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Samantha Romero made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Leila Hermosillo, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 39th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Agua Fria. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.
Anieah Lewis was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Genesis Parker, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Deer Valley's record is now 17-5-1. As for Peoria, their record now sits at 0-17.
Peoria's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Deer Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. It's a different story for Peoria, though, as they've only averaged .259. Will they be able to contain Deer Valley's hitters?
