While it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, the Chrisman Cardinals were not quite the Iroquois West Raiders's equal in the second half on Thursday. Chrisman fell 54-44 to Iroquois West. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chrisman in their matchups with Iroquois West: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin McCord, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Connor Rhoads, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
Chrisman's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Iroquois West, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-4.
Chrisman will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday. As for Iroquois West, they will head out on the road to face off against Manteno at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
