Manchester Memorial posted their biggest win since December 21, 2023 on Friday. Everything went their way against Manchester Central as Manchester Memorial made off with a 56-33 win. The win was a breath of fresh air for Manchester Memorial as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
NyAsia McKelvey was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times she's played. Torle Adumene was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Alvirne scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Trinity, posting a 71-41 victory at home. Alvirne has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 26 points or more this season.
Manchester Memorial's record now sits at 5-7. As for Alvirne, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.
Manchester Memorial came up short against Alvirne in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 53-43. Can Manchester Memorial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
