The North Springs Spartans were the 60-59 winner over the Chattahoochee Cougars when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with North Springs falling 61-42. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Chattahoochee is ranked 80th).
Despite the loss, North Springs still got an impressive performance from Esmer Madesko, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 40.5% of North Springs' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Robert Harris was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
North Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Chattahoochee, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Springs will take on Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northview comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Chattahoochee, they will be playing at home against Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greater Atlanta Christian is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
