The Sutter Huskies won the last time they faced the Gridley Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Sutter pulled ahead with a 48-47 photo finish over Gridley. The win was all the more spectacular given Sutter's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 829th, while Gridley is ranked 256th).
It was another big night for Jagger Beck, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Gannon Deal was another key contributor, scoring six points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Sutter and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Gridley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Sutter is on the road again on Saturday and play against Colusa at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Colusa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. Gridley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Corning at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Corning focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
