Sherman Oaks CES is a perfect 3-0 against Grant since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Knights will welcome the Lancers at 2:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sherman Oaks CES has 16 straight wins, Grant has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Sherman Oaks CES made easy work of Panorama and carried off a 24-2 victory. Considering the Knights have won 15 matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Araceli Altamirano made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Reagan Rosenthal was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Teddy, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
Sherman Oaks CES always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .732. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .532 or higher in 13 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Grant scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 32-9 to Van Nuys.
Sherman Oaks CES' win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
Everything went Sherman Oaks CES' way against Grant when the teams last played back in February of 2023, as Sherman Oaks CES made off with a 19-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
