Afton Jessogne looked comfortable as she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Gianni Torres was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Sage Rodmyre was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Fort Myers lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Northeast got themselves on the board against Gulf Coast on Thursday, but Gulf Coast never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Sharks.

In other batting news, Ava Twinam was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lashell Roberts, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Northeast's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Fort Myers, their victory bumped their record up to 21-6-1.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fort Myers hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .390.
