Basketball Recap: Lincoln Piles Up the Points Against FAMU DRS

Lincoln won the last time they faced FAMU DRS and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lincoln Trojans blew past the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers, posting a 78-34 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Kingsley Mutanga, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Malakhi Lowe was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Mutanga wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Lincoln was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as FAMU DRS only racked up one assist.

Ayden Cromer and Jacquez Johnson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Cromer posted ten points and three steals, while Johnson earned 13 points and six rebounds. Cromer has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for FAMU DRS, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Lincoln has already played their next matchup, an 87-72 win against Chiles on the 31st. As for FAMU DRS, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hamilton County on the 29th.
