Carbon is 2-8 against Canyon View since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Carbon Dinos will head out on the road to face off against the Canyon View Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Carbon is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Carbon struggled with offensive rebounds on Wednesday (Emery had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Carbon was the victim of a rough 69-44 defeat at the hands of Emery. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carbon in their matchups with Emery: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite their loss, Carbon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kahner Raby, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Evan Lancaster, who scored six points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Canyon View didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Delta on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 51-45 victory. The victory was just what Canyon View needed coming off of a 63-38 defeat in their prior match.
Carbon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Canyon View, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Carbon didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Canyon View in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 62-58 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carbon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
