Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Glenbrook South's Third in Last Four Outings

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Glenbrook South and Evanston meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Titans came out on top against the Wildkits by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Wildkits back in April, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25.

Glenbrook South found their leader in sophomore Logan Ball, who had four digs and two aces.

Glenbrook South has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. As for Evanston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenbrook South will challenge New Trier at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evanston, they will square off against Glenbrook North at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Spartans have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
