They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-23 win over Kimberton Waldorf. The victory was just what Valley Forge Baptist Academy needed coming off of a 75-33 defeat in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Kimberton Waldorf saw an underclassman step up: Colton Mailey scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Valley Forge Baptist Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Kimberton Waldorf, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Forge Baptist Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lehigh Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Kimberton Waldorf on the road again on Monday and play against Delaware Valley Friends at 3:30 p.m. on January 29th.
