Springstead is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Cypress Creek by a score of 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Alivia Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Rachel Rivera was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Sophia Whitacre was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Wesley Chapel won against Springstead last Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past River Ridge 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since March 7th.
Wesley Chapel also got a great performance from Ashley Bolt as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bailey Garrison, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kali Manco, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Wesley Chapel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Springstead's record is now 18-2. As for Wesley Chapel, their record now sits at 19-7.
Wesley Chapel's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Springstead has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Wesley Chapel, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will Springstead keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?
Springstead suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Wesley Chapel in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
