Springtown scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wimberley Texans. The Porcupines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Texans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Paul Gumbert-Mendoza was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards for Wimberley. The matchup was Gumbert-Mendoza's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Reece Wortham, who went 7 of 17 en route to 16 points and four steals.

Springtown is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10. As for Wimberley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
