Culbertson is 2-8 against Bainville since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Culbertson Cowboys will face off against the Bainville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Culbertson is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, Culbertson was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to MonDak [Westby/Grenora].
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mark Kirkaldie, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Deen, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bainville walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 71-31 win over the Warriors at home. Bainville's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Culbertson's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Bainville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Culbertson strolled past Bainville in their previous meeting on Friday by a score of 44-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Culbertson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
