Huron was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to sixth in Eastern South Dakota. Earlier in the week, the Tigers defeated Mitchell 28-21.
Riggs took down Aberdeen Central 41-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Kernels' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kanin Nelson threw for 169 and 1 touchdown and Nathan Wahlen had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Nelson chipped in 71 yards. Matt Larson helped Mitchell's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 50 yards.

Yankton's Mason Strahl and JJ Hejna led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Strahl has thrown for 1,132 yards this season, while Hejna has 38 catches for 821 yards. Mitch Johnson from Kent Van Overschelde's team leads the league in rushing with 518 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Brandon Valley and the Golden Eagles. The Lynx enters the game ranked ninth in the state, while Aberdeen Central ranks 19th.
There should be lots of points scored when the Bucks/Gazelles and the Kernels face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Yankton comes in having scored 202 this season, while Mitchell has scored 149.
