The biggest upset of the week belonged to Moshannon Valley, who took down 407th ranked Moshannon Valley, 29-13. Damon Braniff ran for 114 yards in the win.
Glendale moved up to 389 from 449 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Inter-County - Silver. The Vikings were able to make the jump by beating the Black Knights/Damsels 29-13.
Juniata Valley's dynamic duo of Caleb Taylor and Brett Grissinger proved tough for Tussey Mountain to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Taylor threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns and Grissinger had 75 yards receiving. Kris Gardner helped Juniata Valley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 46 yards.
Zach Helsel was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 293 yards on 34 carries as Claysburg-Kimmel bested the Titans. Teammate Devin Weyandt added to the ground attack by rushing for 38 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Tanner Dipko of Moshannon Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 847. He has also thrown three touchdowns. On the ground, the Bulldogs' Helsel has rushed for 991 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Weyandt. The Claysburg-Kimmel star has 29 catches for 492 yards.
The top two teams in Inter-County - Silver will face off this week when first place Juniata Valley takes on second place Glendale. Last week, Juniata Valley topped Tussey Mountain, while Glendale bested Michael Keith's team.
Claysburg-Kimmel's Helsel needs only nine yards against Josh Smith's team next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Mike Smith's team takes on Matt Irvine's team. The Hornets' offense has recorded 294 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Vikings have permitted only 107 on the year.
There should be lots of points scored when Juniata Valley and Glendale face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Hornets comes in having scored 294 this season, while the Vikings have scored 158. Juniata Valley scored 49 points last week as it defeated the Titans.
