Milton Wright's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Aberdeen is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
C. Milton Wright's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cayne Woodland, who went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 5 assists. Dylan Sander was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
When it comes to explaining why Aberdeen lost, one person who can't be blamed is DARION PARRIS. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points PARRIS has scored all season. Another player making a difference was JOMAR CAMACHO, who scored 11 points.
C. Milton Wright pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Aberdeen, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. C. Milton Wright will challenge North Harford at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. North Harford has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11. As for Aberdeen, they will head out on the road to take on Caravel on Saturday.
