Taya Pinneo was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Shelby-Rising City's points. Ava Larmon was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The victory got Shelby-Rising City back to even at 7-7. As for East Butler, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelby-Rising City and Nebraska Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for East Butler, they will be playing at home against Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meridian is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
