That makes it three consecutive games in which Guzman has scored at least 25% of Pinecrest Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Cesar, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Palm Glades Prep Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Pinecrest Prep, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Glades Prep Academy will challenge Coral Shores at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pinecrest Prep will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Archimedean at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Archimedean is ranked 620th, while Pinecrest Prep is ranked 629th).
