The Lowry Buckaroos stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Spring Creek 57-18 on the road. With Lowry ahead 43-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Leading Lowry to victory were Britain Backus and Savannah Stoker. Backus scored 21 points along with five steals, while Stoker scored 20 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Backus has scored at least a third of Lowry's points. Bryce Brinkerhoff was another key contributor, scoring two points along with three steals.
Lowry has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Spring Creek, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10.
Lowry won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elko at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Elko will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Lowry is ranked eighth). As for Spring Creek, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Dayton at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
