Kieran Delaney made a splash, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He was up against Prospect Ridge Academy and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in May of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with more than six strikeouts. For the year, Delaney has an ERA of .48 over 29 innings pitched.

Delaney's effort led Colorado Academy over Prospect Ridge Academy and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are a perfect 10-0 against the Miners going back to April of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
