VI Section III (8 Man) recap October 1, 2013
Rancho Solano Prep was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to second in VI Section III (8 Man). Earlier in the week, the Mustangs triumphed over Salt River 36-0.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Salome beat Phoenix Day School for the Deaf 52-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
The Eagles' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Alex Hill-Jimenez contributed 169 yards.
Hill-Jimenez provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Salt River fell to Rancho Solano Prep.
Marcelino Martinez was the best wideout in the league this week as Brandon Tauscher's team fell to Tom Grasmick's team.
The marquee game in VI Section III (8 Man) this week will be the clash between the Roadrunners and Arizona Charter Academy. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf comes into the matchup ranked 24th in the state, while the Bulldogs ranks 21st.
Bagdad took down Arizona Charter Academy 66-24 last week, the largest margin of any game.
