McGuffey put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 44-34 victory over the Munday Moguls. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 86th in Pennsylvania, while the Moguls are ranked 556th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Moguls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caisen Lee, who posted 11 points. Connor Willison was another key player, putting up nine points.

McGuffey's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Munday, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

McGuffey has already played their next contest, a 74-35 defeat against Uniontown on the 20th. As for Munday, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-29 loss against Milken on the 20th.
