After losing to the Apex Friendship Patriots the last time they met, the Green Hope Falcons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Green Hope rang in the new year with a  43-35 victory over Apex Friendship on Friday. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Green Hope.
 It was another big night for  Abigail Brown, who  scored 13 points along with eight  rebounds and four  blocks. That makes it five consecutive games in which  she has scored at least 25% of Green Hope's points.  Uma Surkund was another key contributor,  scoring five points.
 Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Avery Kiger, who  scored 17 points. The  contest was  Kiger's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ailani Collazo, who  scored 11 points along with seven  steals.
 Green Hope's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Apex Friendship, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Hope will  take on Panther Creek at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Panther Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Apex Friendship, they will head out on the road to face off against Apex at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
