Roscommon hasn't had much luck against McBain recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bucks will head out to challenge the Ramblers at 4:00 p.m. Roscommon has given up an average of 19.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Roscommon fell victim to Beal City and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Aggies, falling 25-0.
Meanwhile, McBain never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Lake City 15-0. Considering the Ramblers have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Ady Haskin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubrie Kamphouse, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madilynn Fancett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
The victory made it two in a row for McBain and bumps their season record up to 6-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Roscommon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.
Roscommon might still be hurting after the 20-3 defeat they got from McBain in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Bucks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
