The Lakeside Christian Lions's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past Legacy Charter 44-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Lakeside Christian has posted yet this season.
When it comes to explaining why Legacy Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mallory Daniels. Despite the final result, she scored 29 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniels has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Kraus, who scored 13 points.
Lakeside Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Legacy Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside Christian on the road again on Monday and play against Hernando Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Hernando Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Legacy Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Trinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Prep is on a four-game streak of home losses, Legacy Charter an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
